Should I use This?
Is Instant Messaging and Chat Rooms something that I want to use, all your questions can be answered on this page.
Instant MessagingUsing IM you don’t have to pay fees like you do with text messaging. It’s a free and useful technology but you must have wifi or data to use it. You do have to sign up and answer a few questions for example your name, email, and a username/password for the service you’re using. It’s useful because you are able to communicate using messages, video chatting, sending pictures, text files, etc. It is also more efficient than email if you're just having a conversation (more casual). Everyone any age can use IM but studies show that younger people (20s and under) use Instant Messaging the most.

Chat RoomsUsing Chat Rooms is similar to IM but you are on a chat room with multiple people who you don’t know majority of the time. Also, you go through the same process signing up as you do IM but some chat rooms don’t even ask for a name and email, just needing a username/password. It is useful because you can be in an environment with people who share the same interests as you (the topic of the chat room). You can meet new people from chatting and learn new things about the topic you didn’t know before. Everyone any age can use chat rooms (even some companies use them for business discussions and such) but the majority of people that use Chat Rooms are younger people.
